Author Guidelines

ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

The Journal of Government and Political Sciences (JGPS) utilizes an online submission platform to streamline the manuscript submission process and allow authors to monitor the progress of their submissions. Authors are required to adhere to the guidelines outlined below. Manuscripts that do not meet these guidelines will be subject to rejection.

All submissions must be made online through https: https://edusphereglobalpress.org/jgps/about/submissions

First-time users must register as Authors by clicking the register button at the top of the page and providing the requested information. Upon registration, authors will receive a username and password to log in and submit their manuscripts. After logging in, authors can track the progress of their submissions through the system.

All manuscripts submitted to GovPol undergo a plagiarism check using Turnitin. The acceptable level of similarity is below 20 percent.

Submitted articles must meet the following criteria:

  • Articles must not have been previously published in other journals or media outlets, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere;
  • Articles must report the findings of original research studies;
  • Articles must be written in English;
  • The article structure should include.

TITLE

Titles should not exceed 16 words, be in Trebuchet MS font size 16, capitalized, and bolded. 

ABSTRACT

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the article, including background, objectives, methods, findings, novelty/originality, and conclusions. It should be written in English, in a single paragraph, using Trebuchet MS font size 10, and approximately 200-250 words.

Keywords

A maximum of 5 keywords should be provided.

INTRODUCTION

This section should briefly introduce the background, literature review, originality of the work, hypothesis, and objectives. Avoid secondary citations.

METHODS

This section should describe the materials and methods used in the research, providing sufficient detail for replication.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Present the study's findings and interpret them in the context of previous research. Tables and figures should be used as appropriate.

FIGURES AND TABLES

All tables and figures should be referenced in the text and explained thoroughly. APA 7th Edition formatting should be followed.

CONCLUSIONS

Summarize the main conclusions of the study and discuss their implications.

REFERENCES

Cite primary references in APA 7th Edition format. A minimum of 25 references, primarily journal papers, is expected.

Authors are encouraged to use MENDELEY as a reference manager.
